Want to make sure the dress is the right fit before booking? You're welcome to arrange a try-on with Evening Attire Hire.

Local Try-Ons

At this stage, try-ons are available locally in Christchurch only.

Try-ons are available by appointment and must be arranged in advance through our inquiries. We do not currently offer postal try-ons.

Try-On Times

Try-ons are available by appointment only and are subject to availability.

As try-on appointments are scheduled around existing dress bookings, available days and times may vary. Please send us an inquiry with your preferred date and we'll do our best to find a suitable time.

Try-on appointments are strictly 15 minutes to allow us to accommodate other appointments. Please arrive on time so you can make the most of your appointment.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment. As appointments are strictly 15 minutes, late arrivals will not receive additional time, as we need to stay on schedule for other customers.

How It Works

If you'd like to try on a dress, please send us an inquiry with:

  • Which dress you'd like to try on
  • Your preferred date

We'll get back to you with an available appointment time.

Try-ons give you the opportunity to see how the dress fits, check the length and get a better idea of how it looks and feels before making your booking.

Before Your Try-On

Please arrive on time for your appointment and wear suitable undergarments for trying on formalwear.

We recommend avoiding makeup, fake tan, oils or anything else that could transfer onto the dresses while trying them on.

Please treat the dresses with care during your appointment.

Booking After Your Try-On

If you decide you'd like to hire the dress after trying it on, you can book it through our website, subject to availability.

A try-on does not reserve the dress for you. The dress remains available for other customers to book until a hire has been confirmed and paid for.
